Tim Walsh

Our Great Coach on this episode is Olympic Gold medal winning coach Tim Walsh.

Tim is a coach with a deep passion for learning and development, and in this interview, you will hear how he used this to transform a group of athletes from different sports into an Olympic Gold medal winning team that changed the way people think about female participation in contact sports.

Tim is a former professional Rugby player who played for teams in Australia, England, New Zealand and Italy.

He also played for the Australian Sevens team from 2002 to 2009.

He began his coaching career with the Australian Women’s Rugby 7’s team in 2013 leading them to both the inaugural gold medal at the Rio Olympics and the World championship in 2016. He left the team in 2019 with an 85% winning ratio to take on the job as the coach of the Australian Men’s Rugby 7’s team.
