Charlie Walsh was the coach of the Australian National Cycling team from 1980 until 2000. During that time he took the Australian team from a world rank of 25 to number 1. He coached cyclists to 10 World and 12 Olympic Games records winning 43 gold medals, 31 silver medals and 43 bronze medals. He has multiple coach of the year awards, and was recognised for his services to cycling when he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 1987. Charlie is a master coach with a legendary reputation in the world of cycling.
